ITINERARY*


  • Drive to Butterfly Valley along the West Coast of Rhodes Island - approx. 30-50 min

- Enjoy a relaxing drive through Rhodes countryside with a beautiful landscape full of olive, cypress, pomegranate, and citrus fruit trees

- On the way, see the local villages of Damatria, Pastida, Kremasti, and Paradisi

 

  • Free time in the Butterfly Valley for your Individual browsing - approx. 1 hour 15 min

- Starting with the upper part of the Valley, walk along the little pond and waterfalls, enjoying the romantic scene

- Start noticing butterflies on tree trunks, leaves, and rocks

- On the way, take a little rest reading informative boards about the life cycle of the butterflies and other interesting stories

- Walk all the way up to a little Monastery to capture a memorable Panoramic View of the West Coast

- Then walk all the way to the bottom part of the Valley to visit the Museum of Natural History and learn about endemic and rare species in Rhodes

  • Stop for Panoramic Photos at Lindos Panoramic View Point - 5 min

- See the white village, the vibrant beach, and the Acropolis of Lindos - all in one postcard-like scenery

 

  • Free time in Lindos village for your Individual browsing - approx. 2-2.5 hours 

- Stroll through the village with its winding narrow streets dotted with little boutiques, cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops

- Wander around and try to find impressive Captains' Mansions and little Byzantine chapels between whitewashed traditional Lindian homes

- Visit the most important archaeological site of Rhodes - the Acropolis of Lindos, home to the Temple of Athena Lindia

- If climbing the steps to the mountaintop is not in your plans, then the best way to soak up the Lindos vibe is to have a nice lunch in a roof-top restaurant or cafe offering an unforgettable view

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY - 2 (Moderate)

Passengers must be able to step in and out of the tour vehicle (the Minibus is equipped with a power step). Travelers must be able to walk over paved or cobblestone surfaces. 

Butterfly Valley has uneven, rocky nature paths.

Lindos village has inclines, narrow walkways, and cobbled streets.

The Acropolis of Lindos is situated at the top of the rock. There are approx 300 steps and a long flight of stairs without handrails.

For guests with walking difficulties, getting on a public shuttle bus to the main square of Lindos is possible (extra cost of 0.5 Eur per person/one way).
